2008 - P@tD, Dropkicks, and MMB

Let's round out 2008. I have the official meet and greet photo with Panic at the Disco since we were not allowed to take any photos during the interview with their then new member Jon Walker. We were lucky that interview worked out thanks to a BRU kerfluffle with recording equipment that almost caused me to vomit on the way to the interview. Long story.

Here we are with Panic at the Disco and WBRU's DJ Chase looking a bit perturbed in his "I Pooted" T-shirt.

Next, sort of-kind of part of the WBRU Summer Concert Series of 2008 was a Dropkick Murphys and Mighty Mighty Bosstones show at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI. Here we are with the Dropkick Murphys and BRU's beloved DJ Volta.

I don't have any photos of Mighty Mighty Bosstones but I have a great reason why. After a nice interview, DJ Volta decided he would end by asking the lead singer Dicky Barrett if he had "ever had to knock on wood." Dicky's face went stone-cold, he started to walk out and then in a flash, grabbed the mic and started beating DJ Volta as I called for the board-op back at BRU to cut to commercial as two began to playfully wrestle. Dicky then yelled into the mic - "We're the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, goodnight!"
