Live hip hop is something I'm never sure about since I feel the focus is only on one person rapping. Both Lupe Fiasco and Kanye West were immensely entertaining as they had live bands, back up singers, and earned the spotlight. (I know what you're thinking about Kanye, read on...)
I apologize for the quality, they were popular sets so I didn't get very close.
Lupe Fiasco

I chose to see Nine Inch Nails over going to the Kanye West set at first. I was really tired after a long day, so I decided I would take some pictures at Kanye's set out of due diligence and then go home for the evening. I happened upon Kanye giving a thoughtful speech about music and communities, saying how he was saddened that the stages forced people to choose between and rap and rock while every group present were musicians and artists. He also spoke about crime and poverty in Baltimore then launched into 5 hits in a row. Needless to say, I stayed. I guess he got a lot of heat for seeming like a jerk at Bonnaroo the week before.
