The Virgin Mobile Festival, or Virgin Fest, is an under-appreciated summer festival though I admit it has changed recently. It happens in a number of cities internationally and occurred for a few years at the Pimplico Racetrack in Baltimore, MD. For the past two years it has transformed to the Virgin Mobile Free-fest and has been put on at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD and the tickets are free, though they go quickly.
I've been three times, once as the free-fest, though I think all my photos are exclusively from 2008 which is a bummer because that means no Smashing Pumpkins or Police photos. Just to give you a feel for the festival though, here are some general photos and acts whose names I can't recall. Let me know if you recognize any!
